Google Talk

I'm probably the last blogger on earth to tell you about this, but what the heck. From an article on CNN:
Google Inc. is offering its own instant message and Web-based phone calling system called Google Talk.
It's happening. (For more quotes from Signs, go here.)

Google Dating is next. Remember you heard it here first.

I'm just kidding, but it could happen.

Seth Godin's interesting venture

Seth Godin is doing something interesting with what he calls,my last traditional book project. Here's what he says:
I have 32 co-authors this time and 100% of our royalties go to charity.

This time, we're shooting for the big time. And we need your help.

The book is called: The Big Moo by The Group of 33. Our goal is to sell a million copies before the end of the year and to raise millions for three worthy charities. Our bigger goal is to transform thousands of organizations--corporations, non-profits, community groups, whatever.
Go read the post and if you're interested in the book, read his here.

PS: If you want to know more about Seth Godin, here's what he says on his About page.

Ah, the idle life

Imagine your life like this:
Ten a.m. is for sleeping in, three in the afternoon for a nap (waking fresh for teatime). Then a rambling stroll followed by the first drink of the day. Ten in the evening: pints at the pub; a midnight contemplation of the celestial sphere; meditation at four in the morning.
If you're wondering who actually lives like this, it's a guy named Tom Hodgkinson, who's the editor of a magazine called The Idler.

He wrote a book called How to be Idle and you can read an interesting interview with him on Alternet.

PS: Hat tip to my friend Max for the link.
